Just the Way

black separator bar
You don't know my name
That's probably for the best
As to know me isn't the thing to do

Don't tell me how sorry you feel for me
It doesn't sound real to me
If you're true, just try to understand
That's just the way it is for me

When you're world is filled with contradictions
So many voices telling how you're worthless
Turn your back and you'll be knocked down
Fearing people because they threaten you
Then you'll know where I come from

You haven't seen my life
It's probably not meant for you
That's just the way of things

Don't try to be my friend
They are only people that use you
Even if you're hands out, let me walk by
That's just the way it is for me

When your world has worthless words
The faces all blend together
Slapped, kicked and pushed
Who do you trust?
You're the one they see as the problem
