The Road
|
 |
The road is a lonely place
Tears stain the way
The runts and potholes are every where
Skid marks where some exited quickly
Some one drive by me
Don't leave me here on the road
Seems none understand why I'm here
Often I wonder the same thing
With so many travelers
How can the road be so empty?
No ride sharing along this route
No hitchhikers to pick up
Some one flag me down
Don't leave me here on the road
Seems no one has a map
Maybe no one really survives the road
Another day on the road
Maybe this will be the day
Some one will not pass me by
They'll stop me and we'll share the ride
