What's Left?
|
 |
So many roles to play
We all can't be the winner
Yet so few make it to the center
While others watch in longing
When all the bread is gone
All that's left is crumbs
Those who are full leave them alone
While those that have little feast
What is a real champion?
That knight in shining armor
Never had a chance against the dragon
Hard to be small and beat the odds
When the river runs dry
All that's left is rocks
The first visitors drank the cool liquid
While those arriving late get rocks
Doesn't take a wise person
To see through a glass door
Doesn't take a lot of time
To give just a little back
When life loses meaning
When all that's left is space
Fill another life
With your warm embrace
